Picture Perfect

Here's just a little of what we've been up to (and munching on!) for the past two weeks, in pictures!

A very delicious trip to sprinkles

Love me some red velvet!

An evening after work at Cork (a wine-tasting shop in the West Village) with ReelFX, Taylor's company

The shop has screens set up like this where you can learn more about the wines featured

When you've made your selection, you swipe your Cork card for a 1oz taste or a glass and they bring it out to you

After tasting a few different wines in the main part of the store, we moved to a reserved room in the back where we got to take a wine-tasting class (set up by someone at Taylor's company)! Afterward we headed right next door to The Fish for sushi. Best roll ever? The Rib-Eye roll. Yes, that would be a scrumptious piece of rib-eye with avocado and cilantro in the middle.

Remember when I posted about the new Starbucks logo a few months ago? Well it's here! My tall-non-fat-latte was especially exciting that morning.

Starbucks also introduced a yummy new sweet treat: cake balls! The pink is birthday cake flavor and the cream is tiramisu. Mmmm.

Delicious dinner at the Meddelsome Moth in the Design District. The Moth is definitely considered a gastro-pub...a pub with high end (aka delicious) food and beer.
PS: Their website name is SO creative: Mothinthe.net...get it? Moth-in-the-net!

The Moth is known for their specialty beers...Taylor tried one of their flights of 5 different beers (and yes, the glasses are just small sips)

Check out these mussels! Seasoned with lemon, thyme, white wine, and butter. Melt in your mouth deliciousness.

We also tried "Moth Balls" (which I didn't get a picture of): ricotta cheese battered in some kind of wheat flower, then blanched and covered in a sweet honey sauce. I would call them interesting...but we couldn't pass up a dish called Moth Balls at the Moth! Maybe next time we'll just get burgers and fries :)
