I love Valentine's Day.
I love hearts, I love chocolate, I love flowers, and I love everything pink.
I love that on Valentine's Day, there are chocolates all around the office, flower deliveries coming in every few minutes, and that almost everyone is wearing a festive color.
(As a side note, I actually really dislike the color red. Valentine's Day is the one day a year that I actually buy things in the color and will forgive the general awfulness of the color.)

I also really love telling my sweet husband how much I love him.
I do this rather frequently of course, but Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to tell him all day long.
Aaaaand I love being super duper cheesy about it.
So about a month ago I started browsing Pinterest and stumbled across a phenomenal Valentine's Day idea: a gift for every hour of the day to be opened on the "14th" minute. Cutest thing ever? I think YES!
(In case you're wondering why the "14th" minute, it's because Valentine's Day is on the 14th - I know, I know, I think it's perfectly logical but I was asked this by not just 1 but 2 co-workers so I thought it was worth mentioning)
So I had my plan - I needed 9 little surprises for the 9 hours Taylor was going to be at work on Valentine's Day. As I thought about what each gift/surprise should be, I decided I wanted them to be something useful or edible and not just random stuff. So I browsed Pinterest some more and was totally blown away by all the cute valentine ideas!
I'm talking super cheesy stuff like a pack of gum with a note that says "I chews you," a plum with a tag that says "you're plum perfect," and a little toy lion with a note that says "I'm wild about you!"
I wanted to do ALLLLLL of them!
I wanted to do ALLLLLL of them!
And so...I kind of did.
I incorporated as many of the cute, cheesy, Valentine ideas as I could into my plan.
Most of them are edible. Some of them are useful. One or two of them are just plain cute.
All of them made me smile.
I bought some pretty red paper, stickers, and some twine and wrapped them all up. Each package was finished off with a little label reading what time they should be opened.
Here is the finished product:
Now, since you're dying to see them all, get ready for the cheese - here are the Valentines:
9:14am
And
10:14am
11:14am
12:14pm
1:14pm
(Idea source here)
2:14pm
3:14pm
4:14pm
5:14pm
Oh and I nearly forgot to mention, a few days ago Taylor surprised me with our Valentine's Day gift: a cooking class at Sur la Table on Wednesday night. I can't wait!
Happy, happy Valentine's Day!
SO cute! I love it!!!
