Photo-A-Day Feb #11-19

Day 11
Makes You Happy
I absolutely love baking and cooking.
Cookbooks, especially cookie or dessert cookbooks, make me extremely happy.
These are some of the newest cookbooks I've acquired this past year and they all rock.

Day 12
Inside Your Closet
It took me a few tries to get a good picture of our closet.
This one is of "my" side - yes, I arrange my shirts by color.
After expressing my closet-picture-taking frustration to Taylor, he suggested
I try taking a picture from a different angle.
Genius!
Changing your point of view can help you come up with a totally different picture.
And voila!

Day 13
Blue
This pot is the most incredible blue-teal color ever.
It sits out on our stove because I can't bare to hide it away.

Day 14
Heart
This was the first year that I didn't use my heart-shaped cookie cutters to make Valentine's Day cookies.
Instead, we made Valentine's Chex Mix (aka pink and white puppy chow) and [home-made] red velvet whoppie pies. YUM.

Day 15
Phone
Ah work phone.
We spend a lot of time together.

Day 16
Something New
Woohoo!
These are the new pans we got at our Valentine's Day cooking class.
They are every bit as awesome as we were hoping they would be.

Day 17
Time
The rose Taylor got me for Valentine's Day is the perfect background for my phone -
I get to see it every time I check the time!

Day 18
Drink
Chai-tea latte.

Day 19
Something You Hate To Do
On Sunday Taylor and I cleaned our apartment from top to bottom.
I'm talking rug-washing, refrigerator-scrubbing, every-surface-dusting kind of cleaning.
Before you jump to conclusions, I don't hate cleaning.
In fact, I quite enjoy it.
What I hate to do is mess up a newly cleaned house.
I'm serious.
After everything was spotless, I wanted to leave the apartment.
I didn't want to cook and dirty the sparkling kitchen.
I didn't want to read in bed and crumple the freshly washed duvet.
Taylor thinks I'm a little silly but we ended up leaving for dinner anyway.
I only need a few hours to get over that weirdness.
Today I'm perfectly happy to hang out in our clean apartment!
