38-39 Weeks

How far along? 39 weeks! Technically one day away from 40 weeks so I'm just squeaking this post in at the last minute! And yes, I will eventually post my 39 week picture - Taylor has it on his computer!

Labor signs: Not much. A little bit of cramping, a little bit of pelvic pressure, but not a heck of a lot of anything. Taylor and I have been trying to go on walks every night after work - walking definitely feels like it would be a very effective way to get labor started, it's just so hot out that we end up walking pretty slowly for only a short amount of time. Tonight though, we're heading to the mall! I'm hoping that being inside will allow for a longer walk!

Total weight gain: It's been fluctuating in the 20-25lb range. Most recently it was 21.8.

Maternity clothes? Yep.

Best moment this week: So many good moments over the past 2 weeks! Dinner with friends at a new restaurant called Ida Claire, attended a chocolate and champagne party (complete with chocolate face-painting) at one of our favorite chocolate shops, lots of morning visits to coffee shops, a full day spent volunteering {and shopping} at Divine Consign (a huge bi-annual kids consignment sale), a even few afternoons spent planting herbs in our backyard (okay this was really done by Taylor, not me!). Oh and to top things off: our glider was delivered yesterday! It wasn't supposed to arrive until the following week so I was giddy when we got the call that it was on its way. Now it really does feel like we are ready to have our sweet baby at home with us!

Sweet girls from work who attended the party with us, April & LaDonna:

There was a lot of chocolate sampling, of course:

I'll be honest, I was totally skeptical about having my face splattered with chocolate:

It turned out okay though! Me and the amazing Kate Weiser herself!

Taylor's turn to be splattered - by Mr. Kate Weiser:

We've been splattered!

Part 1 of our herb garden:

Part two (and this includes tomatoes and peppers!) - Taylor is doing such a great job planting things!!

Miss Anything? Mostly just my sleep!

Movement: So. Much.

Cravings: Pizza - so weird!

Symptoms: My foot swelling has been way better lately! Honestly my only symptom is being kind of large and pregnant. It's kind of hard to get up, and it's hard to turn over at night, but really, I've been feeling pretty good!

Mood/Sleep: Nothing new!

Looking forward to:  Meeting our little girl! The long Labor Day weekend. Friday pizza night with Hayden & David. Having time to run a bunch of errands this weekend. Hitting the 40-week mark {tomorrow!}.

Baby Appointment Update: Had our 39 appointment this week on Tuesday. Baby girl is still doing well, is head-down, and had a strong heartbeat. My blood pressure was normal & everything was just fine overall. We set a date for induction: 9/16! I will be 41 + 5 and I'm just hoping, praying, and keeping my fingers crossed that this sweet babe comes on her own before then! One more appointment next week with a sonogram so the doc can measure the baby and check on the cord & placenta.

At 39 weeks the baby is as big as a watermelon!
She's  around 18.9-20.9 inches and somewhere around
6.2-9.2 pounds (let's hope for the lower end of that estimation!)
