{BabyT} Bumpdate: 17 Weeks

17 weeks and I didn't manage to take a single bump picture this week.
I'll try again next week.

Healthiness
Overall I've been feeling much, much better! Hardly feel sick anymore, woohoo. I'm still pretty tired by the afternoons and going to sleep early every night.

Eating/Food
Regular foods are back to be appealing again (for the most part). Taylor has been on a healthy-eating kick lately so that's been helping me make sure to eat lots of veggies & protein with every meal. I'm a bit hungrier than usual, so I've been packing extra snacks for work. I'm trying to cut down on my sugar intake, and so far have been pretty successful (again, it helps that Taylor has been trying to eat better too lately!).

Exercise
I've gotten back into a great workout groove over the past two weeks. I mentioned doing prenatal pilates last week - I set up a calendar of daily workouts to complete, and put it both on my desk and in my outlook calendar (with links!) and it's been super helpful. I like being able to check off the days I've done workouts, and having the links right in my phone make it super easy to pull them up first thing in the morning.

This is the calendar that I have on my desk.

The purple is where I added in the prenatal workouts over the regular schedule workouts (that aren't pregnancy friendly). {The blue stars are the days I've managed to go without sweats or candy haha}

It feels great to be able to look up and see a bunch of check-marks! The only downside to my workout schedule is that I'm really only doing 10-15 minutes a day. I probably should be doing at least twice that for it to count as a real workout, but I figure something is better than nothing, and at the very least it's making me get into a good habit, plus at least stretch a little bit every morning.

I started getting up 10-15 minutes earlier every day (about 540am), and I make some warm lemon water to sip on while I do my workout. It's become a really peaceful (though short!) morning routine.

I'm also trying to go on walks after work with Arden most days. I'd say we probably go about 2-3 times during the week and then usually we go on long walks both weekend days with Taylor.

Weight
I'm up almost a pound form last week (0.8).
Current weigh gain is 5.6 lbs (almost a pound more than this time last pregnancy, whoops).

Maternity Clothes
I thought I found a few great pairs of maternity jeans online, but they didn't work so I had to return them...and now I'm back to my old jeans with a hair-tie. It's a little uncomfortable, but working for now until I can find a few more bottoms.

Baby
I felt the baby move for sure this week! And Taylor did too! I thought I felt a little movement a week or so ago, but this time it was 100% for sure. So cool!

My sweet SIL got Arden a book about being a Big Sister. We've read it to her a few times, but she's definitely not quite understanding it yet. Oh well, we'll keep trying!

Happy baby after getting picked up from school:

Arden loooves the swings at the park:

For comparison, 17 weeks pregnant with Arden.
