31-32-33 Weeks!
Goodness when you wait almost a month to post there's a lot to catch up on! Here goes:
Let's see, since my last post I've gotten adjustments at the chiropractor a bunch of times, had 2 doc appointments, and 1 meeting with my doula.
Baby first: she's doing great! My mom was in town for one of my appointments and because of that, my sweet doctor did a surprise sonogram so that my mom could see babyE moving and it was awesome! At my second appointment I was scheduled ahead of time for a sono so it was really fun getting to see her twice in two weeks! The latter appointment (technically 34 weeks) is usually the last time I'll get a sonogram for this pregnancy & where the doc takes one last pass at all measurements (she's looking great) and makes sure the baby is in the right spot & head-down (she is!).
And speaking of baby...we decided on a name! Introducing...Evelyn Williams! Middle name is still TBD. We've loved the name Evelyn since we were trying to debating what to name Arden almost 4 years ago, and this time around we just kept coming back to it so we finally decided to go for it and commit to it! Taylor still says nothing is official but I ordered a big sign for her room and a sweet friend surprised us with a monogrammed blanket so I'm calling it very official! The meaning of Evelyn is just perfect too - it's "wished for child" which seems especially fitting since she's our rainbow baby. How cute is this banner? Found it on Etsy and it's coming to the hospital with us to put up on her bassinet while we're there and then will get hung in her room at home.
Adjustments during pregnancy (but really, anytime) are absolutely essential.
Can I just encourage every pregnant momma out there to go ahead and get them? I'd been having pelvic pain for a while but it's pretty much gone now - woohoo! Overall I feel really good and I really think a huge part of that is getting adjusted every week. Everything feels just perfectly in place after my appointments and being so aligned and feeling good really helps me deal with the other pregnancy stuff - like swelling feet (not too bad yet tho honestly!), and my newest symptom: heartburn. I've never had heartburn in my life. Like ever. Not with either previous pregnancy either! But now I randomly get it and it's awful (my sympathy goes out to people who get it regularly). I haven't really tapped in to what's causing it, but it's not fun!
The past 3 weeks have been a little less than successful for my attempts at daily pilates (it turned into a few times a week instead of every day) and walks (they haven't happened in a while) because work has gotten so busy. But despite that, I've managed to do a pretty decent job of staying on track by trying my best to eat well.
Weight gain at 31 weeks: 14.0 lbs total
Weight gain at 32 weeks: 14.3 lbs total
Weight gain at 33 weeks: 13.9 lbs total (slightly down, odd I know!)

This past week I had my birth planning meeting with my doula, Laura, and I feel so much better about our...plan, ha! I want to do a totally separate post on why doulas (and especially mine) are so awesome, but suffice it to say we talked through our plan for when I go into labor and while I'm in the hospital and it feels so great to have talked it out and to have it down on paper.
The Gem is still my favorite splurge/treat...love love this place and these smoothies!
Let's see, so far we've painted the nursery that awesome grey color, and Taylor is currently working on painting the bunkbeds white. I need to get a few frames for prints that I ordered that have come in, and once the bunkbeds are ready we'll do a big swap of all the furniture in the house going into the nursery (we still do need to find a new dresser for Turner's room, as well as some kind of chair).
Lately I've been feeling compelled to start packing my hospital bag - I haven't actually done it yet but I've been thinking about it and ordered a pair of post-partum leggings, a nursing tank, and a new nursing bra. But I do need to sit down and actually make a list (or maybe a pile) of what I want to bring to the hospital.
We got our family/maternity photos back & they are wonderful! Full session post here.
WHAT THE FAM HAS BEEN UP TO

WHAT THE FAM HAS BEEN UP TO
Oh man this is where I see exactly how much time has passed since my last post. We've been busy! The highlights:
Our cousins came to town!
We celebrated Mother's Day at school with a morning of "Muffins with Mom"
And then we celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday at home.
The kiddos and Taylor got me my favorite...chocolate bars!
The kids decorated the wrapping themselves ;)
Read the caption...and laugh...
Taylor ended the day with making me a really special dinner...steak, freshly grilled veggies, & duck-fat roasted potatoes!
Following weekend, rainy farmers market trip:
Taylor and I got a date night our & went to the symphony:
Turner got a haircut the day before his birthday party!
Full party post HERE.
Aaand yet another fun farmer's market trip (yes, we basically go every weekend).
I cannot get enough of these amazing peaches. They are so perfectly in season right now & have been a major pregnancy craving!
Arden had her very first dance recital...and rocked it!
Full post here.
We got to visit our cousins in Oklahoma and see their new home for the summer...they moved to camp! We also got to celebrate everyones birthdays while we were there!
Exhausted by the end of the day!!
Our neighborhood pool officially opened over Memorial Day weekend and we were there bright and early on Saturday and let me just say: we are going to be at the pool a LOT this summer!
And lastly...we snapped some pictures on the "last day" of school. Really there aren't any changes for our kiddos since they'll keep going every day, but the summer starts this week for Rockwall public schools and now Arden doesn't have to wear uniforms anymore so we're in summer mode too!
Whew! That was a lot!
Here's to week 34 and speeding towards the end of this pregnancy!
