Lately I feel like I can't get thoughts down quickly enough before another week passes by!
Last weekend Taylor's parents kept Arden & we got to have a kid-free staycation!
Weekend activities included brunch out at Toasted, dinner out at Whisk Crepes Cafe, a sweet treat at Steel City Pops, and lots of lounging in between! We also managed to totally overhaul and organize 3 closets in our house (just that alone would have been a successful weekend!).
Arden & babyT's sister/brother outfits for the hospital came in - too cute, right??
My pod at work surprised me with gifts & cookies one afternoon:
On Thursday I got to go to the AWM Gala with my coworkers!
For the past few months I'd been hoping that babyT and I would make it to this event....and we did!
I was nominated for DFW Spot Buyer of the Year and much to my shock...I won!
I had to get up on stage, accept my award, and give a little speech.
It was an honor to be nominated and very exciting to win.
Couldn't do it without all the amazing people I work with!
This was a big year for The Richards Group at the AWM Gala because Stan Richards, founder of TRG, was presented with the Silver Award of Excellence so he was at the event!
This past weekend Taylor and I became members of the Dallas Arboretum (we love this place!) and took Arden to one of their many little splash areas. This girl loves the water!
Welp 39 weeks is here and I'm still feeling great honestly.
At my last appointment my OB confirmed that babyT had dropped a little bit and was sitting lower.
She also shocked me when she said I was already 3-4 cm dilated.
And 50-75% effaced.
And that she thought we'd have a baby by Easter!
{She was wrong about that last part, just fyi}
I laughed and told her that I'd really been wanting to go to a work event later in the week and then she laughed at me and told me I'd better keep my feet up and stay hydrated.
So that's what we did!
And we made it.
Then I realized that I really wanted to go to our church's Easter egg hunt & Easter service on Saturday.
So I made a point to minimize movement and stay hydrated.
And we made it!
Now I'm curious to see if I can make it to the end of the week so Taylor's mom will be back in town.
I see lots of relaxing, warm baths, and bottles of water in my future for the next 4 days.
My next doc appointment is tomorrow & we'll see if I've progressed any further!
Weight gain @ 39 weeks = 23.9 lbs.
Oddly enough my weight went down a bit over the last week and seems to have stabilized.
I've read that that can happen towards the end of pregnancy, but I was still surprised to see it.
Pregnant with Arden at 39 weeks here
