{Baby3} Bumpdate: 36 & 37 Weeks

36 & 37 Weeks!

BABY’S GROWTH/MOMMA UPDATE

Well we're one week past the one-month mark and it's like time is stuck in fast forward - it's going by so fast!!!

{BabyT} Bumpdate: 34 & 35 Weeks

Ohmygoodness the weeks are flying by!

Here's what we've been up to:

Taylor and his brothers ran the 10k.
Arden and I (and babyT) walked the 5k.
This was Arden's 3rd 5k.

My view for most of the race:

Crossing the bridge!

Surprise baby shower thrown by my sweet, sweet coworkers!
BabyT was incredibly loved on.
He's one lucky kiddo.
And I'm so thankful for my work family!

So impressed by this diaper cake!!

We lunched at Breadwinners & the sweet hostesses put thought into every detail of the decorations!
We're going with a loose Where the Wild Things Are theme for BabyT's nursery & the girls nailed it!

I hate to say it, but we were having so much fun chatting that I'm pretty sure this is the only picture we got as I was opening gifts!
I just love this little piggy bank. The sweet friend who gave it to me also gave me a pink one a few years ago for Arden. Super special that they both have one!

Besides running races & being showered...

We moved Arden down to her new room.
And it went SO well!
She transitioned like a champ.
And now, almost 2 weeks later, we feel pretty confident that she's truly getting used it and that it wasn't just a fluke.
[We always say that part in a whisper though!]

Taylor made shelves for Arden's new room & is working on getting them up.

I checked a ton of stuff off my to-do list, including:
washing baby clothes,
organizing drawers,
and oh yea, we painted the nursery.

I made blackout curtains for Arden's new room.
They make a world of difference.
Especially after the time change this past weekend!

We hired a doula!
We'll be working with Laura from NDDA and I already know she is going to be amazing.
In case you missed it, I'm going to try for a med-free birth again.

Arden turned 18 months.
She's growing like a weed & is in mostly all 2T clothing now.
She continues to be adorable.

Baby Update
I had my 34 week appointment on Monday and now
officially start going for weekly appointments!

BabyT was doing great. HB in the 140s. Still head-down.
He was measuring 34.5 weeks...and I was exactly 34.5 weeks at the appointment.

This kid moves around a LOT.
Arden moved around quite a bit too, but babyT is just sitting a little differently so I feel kicks more near my ribs and down by my hips.

Momma Update
Oddest new pregnancy symptom: sciatica!
It's awful.
I'd always heard of it but never experience it until now.
Shooting/tingling pain going from my tailbone down to my calf.
I feel like I've been doing so much pilates & stretching that I shouldn't be getting sciatica!
But alas, it happened. About 3 times now.
The chiropractor did help.
And I've been trying to stretch even more.

Besides that, I'm generally good overall.
Today I noticed my feet swelling a little bit.
They hadn't really been doing that lately.
I had been taking {amazingly relaxing} epsom salt baths about twice a week until now...so I probably need to keep doing that!

My belly has definitely popped out.
It's been big for the past few weeks, but now it's kind of in its own zipcode.
I got my first "OH WOW. You are pregnant!" comment at the grocery store the other day.
Yes ma'am, yes I am.

A few of my maternity tops are getting too short.
Being able to see your belly poking out the bottom of a maternity top can't be a good sign, right?
Oh and the band of my favorite maternity jeans now dig into my belly.
Can I please just wear yoga pants every day for the next 5 weeks???

I'm still doing pilates every morning.

Weight gain @ 34 weeks = 19.4 (flat, woohoo!)
Weight gain @ 35 weeks = 20.7 (up a pound...totally normal, ha!)

Don't mind how tired I look in this picture.
I've been mostly sleeping okay, but definitely not enough over the past few weeks.
I keep waking up on my back, which ends up being a little painful b/c of the weight of the baby.
I'm normally a side sleeper (definitely an advantage during pregnancy!), and I always start out sleeping on my side...so I can't for the life of me figure out how I end up on my back.
Maybe in my sleepiness I try to turn over and then get stuck?
Who knows!

Aimee's Sip & See {Welcome to the World}

A few weeks ago I got to co-host a Sip & See for a sweet friend of mine, Aimee, and their newest little addition (4th baby!), Ike Winters.

For theme, we went with a mix of the nursery colors (mint, gold, and white), welcome to the world & maps. I love the way it turned out!

The invite:

The food table - does it look heavenly or what? One of the hostesses, Kristin, dreamed up the delicious menu and brought all the food:

Kelli made these cupcakes! She really should consider opening up her own bakery.

A mimosa bar was necessary, of course! Leigh Ann did a fabulous job with having many drink combination options. There was both prosecco & champagne, and three kinds of juices to choose from. We added a few frozen berries to each glass as guests started to arrive.

The name banner and circle garland were made by Becca - she is so talented! She also did the chalkboard lettering, as well as the garland hanging over the food table and the sign on the front door (see what I mean about talented!?). Aimee already had the map backdrop hanging in this room and it was perfect!

The party was a blast & such a fun way for a bunch of friends to come visit little Ike and shower Aimee at the same time.

Three pregnant ladies! Kristen due in August, Becca due in July, and me due in September.

Jordan found these adorable little wish cards (similar cards HERE!) in place of a guestbook and we set them out in the middle of the room so people could write note to the Smith family. At the end of the party we collected all the cards and looped them through a metal ring to make them into a little book.

Gifts were opened (with help from sweet Emmeline) and ooh'ed and ahh'ed over:

Sweet Ike, we are so glad you are here!

The hostesses with Aimee & Ike: Kristin, Leigh Ann, Me, Aimee (& Ike), Becca, Jordan, and Kelli.
